Yesterday, Waka Flocka blessed his SoundCloud followers with an exclusive “Wakapella” verse. No beat, just bars—and some BOW BOW BOWs, of course—and the opportunity for producers to go nuts.
Enter Dirty Decibels, a production duo consisting of Kno (of CunninLynguists) and DJ Flip Flop.
I loved what they did with Jason Derulo’s “Trumpets” (actually made it listenable) and 2 Chainz’s “Watch Out,” so I wanted to make sure they were aware of the a cappella. Sure enough, they were already half way done with their remix!
Backed by some ominous production that sounds like it came straight from the clouds above, Waka ascends on the “Pray For ‘Em (Dirty Decibels Remix)”—available for your earholes, below.
