Azealia Banks – “Used To Being Alone”

Is it safe to say, Azealia Banks back?

Now focusing — seemingly — on the music, the Harlem spitfire recently returned with a new single “The Big Big Beat.” Much to many’s surprise and enjoyment, the song was a well-received return to form for the rapper and a great introduction to her forthcoming project, tentatively titled Slay Z.

Banks has now dropped another offering, “Used To Being Alone.” Asking the question, “How does it feel, to treat me the way you do?,” Azealia laments about learning to move on from a past love while wailing some serious singing chops throughout the pulsating backdrop. It’s songs like this that made Banks one of the more promising newcomers today, and I hope that this trend continues.
