Russ – “Confidence”

blame it on Patrick Glynn March 7, 2016

Do I really need to mention how consistent Russ is with releasing music anymore? After getting his Steph Curry on with “Davidson” last week, the ATL native delivers another slow burner, “Confidence.”

Russ’ songs often waver between boasting his own self-assurance and him wishing the people surrounding him could match his bravado. Usually, the latter theme has him wanting a woman to act differently, which sometimes come from a good heart but is rarely fair. This time around, he notes how this woman has lots of “confidence” and talents, but she uses it in ways he deems not savory, which, again, isn’t the viewpoint that matters.

Listen to “Confidence” below.
