Although the status of what used to be Funk Volume Records is truly unknown at this point (although all signs have pointed to its disbandment), its de facto leader Hopsin continues to push on from a musical standpoint. Undeterred by the drama Hop returns with his first musical offering of 2016, the eighth installment of his long-running “Ill Mind Of Hopsin” series.
Or, not just quite. The video takes place in a courtroom, with Hopsin going up against the record label he (as well as Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton, and a host of others) once called home while calling out FV co-owner and CEO Damien Ritter before announcing that he’s left the label. Needless to say, there is no love lost between the two and that things will never be the same again…
