Seattle native Sadistik dropped his Salo Sessions EP at the beginning of the year and revisits the project with the visual for “Out The Dark.”
Aiming to discover the positives in life, the “Out The Dark” visual features Sadistik in an abandoned warehouse surrounded by demonic mannequins, which he described as “a sensible symbol for the reality vs. perception theme of the song” in an email.
The rapper continued, explaining the inspiration of the song, Plato’s “Allegory Of The Cave.” As Sadistik continues through the throes of life, he slowly began to realize the truths and realities of the world — which turned out to be far different than the ones he’d been shaped to believe.
