With summer around the corner, songs full of hope and bliss that are perceived to come along with the season often make their way through the speakers. On his latest single, “California Diamond,” Sunni Colón draws influence from Frank Ocean to deliver a self-produced tune with sun-kissed and vacation-ready vibes. Imagining himself driving up-and-down the Left Coast listening to The Beatles, Colón delivers the intimate imagery of youthful innocence and pleasure (sticking heads though sun roofs, pissing off cops) over wicked drum-and-bass-led production.
