If John Oliver’s story of JAY Z is any indication, Hov is not a fan of Donald Trump. And if we’re being real, did we ever expect him to be?
Monday night, the host of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver stopped by The Late Show, where they talked about Oliver’s Donald Trump story from a couple weeks ago. In the bit, Oliver and his writers revealed Donald Trump’s family used to have the last name “Drumpf” when they lived in Germany hundreds of years ago. And in natural troll form, Oliver’s show made hats mocking Trump’s “Make America Great Again” hat with one of their own: “Make Donald Drumpf Again.”
But where does JAY Z play into all this? According to Oliver, JAY Z’s people asked HBO for one of the hats. Oliver jokingly warned HBO that if they did give a hat, which are being sold not-for-profit, to Jay, they’d have to make a lot more hats than the 35,000 they’ve already sold without the rapper/tastemaker’s endorsement.
Anyway, this reminds me it’s primary day in Florida, so I’ll BRB.
