The hip hop world is still reeling from the loss of Phife Dawg, who passed today (March 23rd). Although the cause of death at the time of the announcement remains unknown, Phife — née Malik Taylor — had dealt with health issues stemming from being afflicted with Type 1 Diabetes.
Among the many artists and hip hop luminaries, Mac Miller gave his condolences via Twitter upon hearing of the news. Now, he pays tribute to the legendary A Tribe Called Quest member with his own unique flip on “1nce Again” from their 1996 album Beats, Rhymes and Life.
