BROCKHAMPTON first appeared as a whole on the DopeHouse with “HERO,” following it up with the brash and banging “Dirt,” which won them a talent competition and was later released via Fool’s Gold Records. But individually? Kevin Abstract (the group’s de facto leader), Matt Champion, Dom McLennon and more of the members had all dropped by with their youthful, carefree styles.
Tonight, the self-proclaimed “All-American Boy Band” delivered their first project, All-American Trash — a conscious description of the Texas-based collective’s brash, semi-stuck-up ways. BROCKHAMPTON is the type of group to do whatever, wherever, whenever in the name of their vision of not caring what the rest of us really think.
