In 2014, life for DeJ Loaf changed for the better. She released her mixtape Sell Sole, which was home to the single “Try Me.” That single, which would be peak at number 45 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, propelled the Detroit artist into the spotlight, and she would appear on songs with Eminem (“Detroit vs. Everybody“) and Lil Wayne (“Me U & Hennessy“).
She has remained largely quiet musically, as she has been touring in support of her 2015 project …And See That’s the Thing, but out of the blue she has now returned with a new mixtape All Jokes Aside. Keeping things primarily local once again, she relies on the production talents of frequent collaborator DDS, Izza The Producer, and KLVN. However, the likes of Sonny Digital and even Silkk The Shocker make appearances. Stream and download below.
