Ok… so I may actually attend this again. You got it, Emmis Communications.
After the fun times that was the riot in 2015, I was not keen on attending the 2016 incarnation of SummerJam on account of, well, I didn’t want to get hurt for simply attending a concert. However, after seeing the Festival Stage lineup, I was more inclined to change my mind. Now, Hot 97 has revealed the first wave of artists confirmed to perform at SummerJam’s main stage — A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, Big Sean, Bryson Tiller, DJ Khaled (with “friends”), Kid Ink, Pusha T (with G.O.O.D. Music), Tinashe, and Young Thug — and it looks like once again I’ll be taking my talents to MetLife Stadium.
Combined with Chance The Rapper, Curren$y, and Dave East performing on the earlier, Festival Stage, and Hot 97 may actually have one of its more memorable SummerJams since its twentieth anniversary in 2014. But, can we just keep the violence at home people? (Maybe I’ll) See you on June 5th.
