Lil Uzi Vert is… interesting, to say the least.

He is originally from Philadelphia, but many would not know that from his Southern-leaning sound (he has gone on record and stated that he spent a significant amount of time in Atlanta). His vibrant personality is rarely matched by others, and under the tutelage of fellow Philly-to-ATL transplants Don Cannon and DJ Drama, he has been set of to potentially be one of rap’s next big things.

Perhaps that could be why his latest mixtape is called Lil Uzi Vert Vs. The World. On the surface it’s a play on the 2010 film Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (which is based on the acclaimed graphic novel series Scott Pilgrim), with its artwork (and a track) a nod to the comic book. What stands out about the project is that Uzi, known for frequent collaborations, has eschewed any lyrical feature throughout the nine-song EP, instead relying on the production talents of Metro Boomin, Don Cannon, Wondagurl, and others. Either way, fans can get to know more about Scott Vert below.
