If you’re not one of the thousands of fans attending Coachella this weekend, you know what you should be doing? Supporting your local mom-and-pop record stores. That’s right. Today is the annual vinyl-junkie celebration known as Record Store Day.
Apart from the various specials/sales that are probably popping off right now, most music stores who are participating in today’s massive celebration are offering up in-store exclusives (granted you went in and requested what you wanted to see).
Brooklyn-based indie label Coalmine Records has once again dipped their feet into the pool, grabbing Sweden’s Max I Million for a re-polished remix to CL Smooth‘s timeless, 2008 banger “Perfect Timing” featuring Skyzoo.
You can purchase the exclusive, M-Phazes-produced acetate — sans the remix featured here — (pressed on 7-inch blue vinyl) by visiting any participating stores. Or, you can be lazy and order it from the comfort of your home by hitting up Fat Beats and UGHH. Don’t sleep though, as these are limited in numbers.
Just, please, for the love of everything, don’t be that 48% of
people hipsters who buy vinyl but doesn’t listen to any of them.
