Driving around town last week, I decided to spin “Uber Everywhere.” Twenty minutes later, I’d listened to it eight times in a row. The song really is a problem, man. Since releasing it in August, MADEINTYO has stayed active in releasing music, but there hasn’t been any word of a project from the Atlanta-born rapper — and that’s fine. It probably takes a minute to absorb and realize the song’s success. So in the meantime, he’ll keep pushing loosies like his newest cut, “2Thick.”
The song features Royce Rizzy, and it contains some of rap’s most common themes: money, cars and women. It all comes together over some buzzing, head-knocking Cassius Jay production. You can tell this kid’s got the makings of a successful formula — it’d just be nice to hear it over the course of a project.
