Of the many Canadian-reared rappers out there, there are none quite like Blake Carrington. One of the more easy-going artists from Mississauga, Blake is also one of its most slept-on talents. Having spent the last three years on his new project, F.A.I.L.U.R.E (Finding A way In Loving Urself Reflects Excellence), the once-mixtape has now blossomed into a full fledged three-part “experience:” and album, a short film, and an art book.

While the mixtape boasts features and contributions from the likes of Kardinal Offishall, Rich Kidd, Lord Quest, Raz Fresco, and Junia-T, the art book — which is co-produced Toronto photographers SoTeeOh — is compiled shots of Blake throughout his musical evolution. Finally, the short film tells the tale of brothers who must make life-defining choices, as well as its accompanying after-effects.
