Over the past decade, the legendary Masta Ace has pumped out a handful of projects alongside his eMC clique. Now, after celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut project, Take A Look Around, last year, the Brooklyn native is planning his first solo project in 12 years: The Falling Season.
Like his previous releases (Disposable Arts, A Long Hot Summer), The Falling Season is a conceptual work that follows Ace through his high school years (’80-84) at Sheepshead Bay High. Taking on his experiences with “the football team and the divergent paths him and his peers take,” according to a press release.
The Falling Season will land at 24 tracks, with features from Your Old Droog, AG, Chuck D, Wordsworth and many more.
