It’s been interesting to watch Russ slowly gain traction and listeners on the Internet. Over the next couple days, he’ll be performing a string of shows with Bryson Tiller, and all the buzz has stemmed from a consistent work ethic and a relentless ability to drop a song a week for a year and a half.
Yesterday was Tuesday, so naturally, Russ dropped a new song, “New To Me.” What new to him, though? The money certainly is. “All these women getting naked” is new to Russ. He’s the center of a bunch of conversations at labels and other platforms, and that’s definitely new to the ATL rapper/singer/producer/. But him being the only one believing in himself? That ain’t new at all.
