Y’all knew damn well Birdman was gonna capitalize off becoming a meme thanks to his iconic Breakfast Club interview from a couple weeks ago. Before the interview, the Cash Money head honcho had only popped up in lawsuits and in clubs throwing drinks at Lil Wayne, but now, he’s back with his second song in as many weeks.
“Fuk Em” features Neno Calvin and Hot Boy, and it’s aimed at the people who doubt his successes and business acumen. (Birdman probably wouldn’t mind one or two of those Fuk Em’s to hit Charlamagne’s ears, too.) After seeming to no longer be the total “bad guy” in many people’s eyes — after, you know, a year of Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki and Tyga all saying you owe them money — Birdman is set to release his Ms. Gladys 2 LP June 24 and follow it up with a new Rich Gang project a week later (July 1).
Oh, and like I told you: Birdman will capitalize off being a meme. Seems like he’s drop a song named “Respek” soon…
Listen to “Respek,” premiered by Funkmaster Flex, below, and check out his interview with Ebro In The Morning at the bottom.
UPDATE: Birdman sat down with the hosts on New York other morning time radio talk show, Ebro In The Morning, in Miami to discuss everything from “repsek” to rumors of him being gay. Alright then.
