In East Harlem, New York, Piatto d’Oro was an Italian restaurant whose compliments of its good food was also matched by its decries of poor service. Ultimately, however, the long-standing restaurant closed down in 2015. Perhaps in an homage to the fallen eatery, Queens-reared native Meyhem Lauren has released his Fool’s Gold Records debut, Piatto D’Oro.
While less polished than his F*ck, That’s Delicious co-conspirator Action Bronson, Lauren’s new project does provide as much nutritional value as any lyrically-heavy titan. With a wide array of guests — including Bronson, Alchemist, Roc Marciano, Big Body Bes, DJ Muggs, Harry Fraud, and Large Professor, among others — Meyhem’s 15-track project can be streamed and downloaded below.
