Footage Of Prince’s Jam Session With Kendrick Lamar Has Surfaced

It still hurts to know that Prince has passed. It is only amplified by the fact that I never got to see him perform live either, even when I had the opportunity to do so. Fortunately for some people, they had a (now, literally) once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch him rock the stage with one Kendrick Lamar.

Back in 2014, Prince released two projects on the same day: Art Official Age (with 3RDEYEGIRL) and PlectrumElectrum, and he celebrated the release of the projects with a special concert at his Paisley Park Studios. Mid-set, Kendrick would surprise fans when the two would perform “What’s My Name.” Prince, a notorious opponent of having his music online (ironically, he had one of the more entertaining Instagram profiles in recent memory), would have even fan footage of the performance yanked off the Internet, but now his estate has released clear footage of the jam session for everyone to enjoy.
