While this has aired on television for the last few weeks, it is still worth a mention around these parts.
Since the start of the 2016 NBA Playoffs, Gatorade has been airing an advert with Dwyane Wade and George “The Iceman” Gervin titled “Play Cool,” where the two are shooting ice basketball blocks while making André 3000-like cold references. If people did not notice, however, The Roots play a role in the spot too: the background music is that of their single “Stay Cool,” from their 2004 album The Tipping Point.
“Stay Cool” was one of my favorite songs from The Tipping Point, and each time I’ve caught the commercial I’ve been compelled to listen to the song. So, enjoy it down bottom.
