Leon Bridges has had an active 365 days. Around this time in 2015, he was in the midst of playing open mics around Texas after getting signed to Columbia Records. But an incredible LP (Coming Home) and a world tour later, Bridges is one of the more talented up-and-coming artists, bringing soul and blues back to the forefront.
His new documentary, This Is Home, covers Bridges’ and his band’s last year. It was filmed by Danny Clinch, who has documented the lives of Tupac, Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen and more. Last just over 20 minutes, Bridges and his band contrast their lives of having to perform for a group of 50 people to all of a sudden regularly playing crowds with thousands of people with their “eyes wide open” waiting to see them.
I, for one, can’t wait to watch the growth of Leon Bridges. Watch the documentary below.
