Rhythm Roulette w/ Hi-Tek

After getting a couple J Dilla-themed episodes of Rhythm Roulette with Nottz and BINK!, the series returns to its regular format calling on Hi-Tek to make a beat out of samples from three random records.

The Cincinnati native, who’s recently produced “Come Down” for Anderson .Paak and “Gangsta Boogie” off the recent posthumous J Dilla release, blindly picked Spirit’s Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus, The Routers’ Superbird and Elvis Presley’s For Ol’ Times Sake, which got tossed to the side with the quickness on account of having no interest in getting sued by the Presley camp. (The impression was on point, though.)

After flipping through the remaining two records, he eventually landed on some bass-heavy samples from Spirit record to use as the foundation for his Rhythm Roulette addition. Check out the segment below.
