Meet Jairemie Alexander, a musician from Portland making his DopeHouse debut with his new single, “High.”

Born in ’91, Jairemie started playing piano at five, writing songs at nine, and picked up guitar at the age of 11. Now, after drawing inspiration from the likes of Prince, Pink Floyd, and Otis Redding, the Emerald City native is ready to take the next step in his singing career with the release of his forthcoming full-length album.

“High” speaks to humanity’s greed and lust and the overcoming of these conditions, which, in a euphoric transformation enables us to become real, true and worthwhile.

Take a listen below and, if you’re digging what you hear, there’s a few gems on Jairemie’s SoundCloud from the past few years that’ll keep you entertained while you wait for the album.
