Since releasing his Chatterbox project around this time last year, oddCouple has stayed behind the scenes assisting his fellow labelmates (Kweku Collins, Boathouse) in the upstarts of their respective careers.
But with a new project, Liberation, out at some point this summer, the Midwest producer is stepping back to the forefront with a remix of Kehlani’s “Tore Up.” Where the sooth original is led by a piano and synthesizers, “Kehlani Bootleg” has oddCouple adding a layer of percussion and melody to the emotional tune.
Liberation is set to feature Mick Jenkins, Kweku Collins, WebsterX, Mike Golden, The O’My’s and plenty more. And while “Kehlani Bootleg” won’t land on the project, you can stream it below.
