Enjoy The Instrumentals From Illa J’s Self-Titled New Album

Sometime in 2015 Illa J — perhaps nauseated at the very legitimate prospect of having a Cheetos dust-covered thumb running America — packed up his things and hitched a ride to Canada, settling in Montreal. It was at that time when he would meet the production duo Potatohead People, who would provide the bulk of the beats for his second solo album (save for one slot from fellow Montrealer Kaytranada).

Now that his album has been released, record label Bastard Jazz will drop the instrumentals for Illa’s self-titled 2015 album, for the fans’ listening pleasures. For Buddha’s sakes, though, struggle rappers should steer all the way clear of this, as there was already an album that used all of these beats. Sheesh. Stream it below.
