Post Malone – August 26th (Mixtape)

If you told me that the guy who made the song “White Iverson” would end up opening for Justin Bieber throughout his mammoth Purpose Tour a year later, I would have the same incredulous look of bewilderment on my face then that I did when I first heard it.

However, I’m not hear to knock the hustle of Austin Post, née Post Malone. Since the release of his FKi-produced single in February 2015, he has received a (double-) platinum plaque for the song, has collaborated with the likes of 50 Cent, Young Thug, and Rae Sremmurd, and guested on Kanye West’s “Fade.” He is now hoping to continue his success with his mixtape August 26th.

The 10-track project features a wide-ranging array of guests, from 2 Chainz all the way to Jaden Smith, and is anchored by the release of his merch e-store. With a new single, “Go Flex,” landing on the Billboard charts, and the obvious Bieber look, August 26th may be the project that takes Posty over the top.
