Multi-talented multi-hyphenate Robert Glasper‘s nex project, Everything’s Beautiful, will be one of his most ambitious releases yet: he will reconstruct various samples from jazz great Miles Davis and create entirely new songs from them. After revealing a previous single, “Ghetto Walkin’,” he has connected with Erykah Badu for a cover of Miles’ “Maiysha.”
The single will be a part of the accompanying soundtrack for actor Don Cheadle’s biopic on Davis, Miles Ahead, which arrived in theaters on April 1st. Meanwhile, Glasper’s Everything’s Beautiful arrives May 27th, one day after what would have been Miles Davis’ 90th birthday.
