BADBADNOTGOOD are planning to release their upcoming album, IV, on July 8, and with it more than a month away, we’re already getting the third single in the form of “Confessions Pt. II.”

While I’d love for this some sort of chaotic twist on the Usher song of the same name, the output is still just as enjoyable as the prospect of the trio covering Usher Raymond IV. (See? All the signs are there.)

BBNG bring along the likes of Colin Stetson’s bass saxophone for the six-and-a-half minute experience, which develops into what sounds like could be a score for a final battle with a boss in a video game with the victor ultimately being the listener.

Check out the album’s first two singles, “Speaking Gently” and “Time Moves Slow” with Sam Herring, and listen to “Confessions Pt. II” (a follow-up to “Confessions” off III as one irked commenter reminded us) below. Pre-order IV on iTunes.
