Before we dive any further into this post, I’d like to preface it with this simple fact: if there were two emcees throughout the past 15 years or so whose rap monikers were synonymous with the art of rhyming, it would have to be Punchline and Wordsworth.
I’ve been following the two eMC battle-tested rhyme hustlers since the late 90s, with my first exposure of Brooklyn’s Wordsworth and the LES’s Punchline being on the Rawkus Lyricist Lounge: Volume One compilation. Together, these two have embodied the essence of a true lyricist and I’ve been a fan ever since.
