Just a mere few days ago, Vic Mensa surprised the internets by delivering There’s Alot Going On — his first project in nearly three years, and his first on Roc Nation.
Short on features (aside from the Ty Dolla $ign-featured “Liquor Locker”) the EP was produced entirely by Papi Beatz, with some co-production from Smoko Ono and Vic himself. Shortly before he dropped his EP, the Chicago rapper was a guest on Ebro In the Morning, where he spoke on violence in his hometown, the police and how most “new rap is not legendary.”
