To say that Troy Ave is in a bit of trouble would be the understatement of 2016. Allegedly caught on camera during the now-infamous shootout at Irving Plaza that left three people shot and one of his closest friends dead, Troy remains held in a New York jail cell facing attempted murder charges.
While he was already slated to release a new project today (June 6th), given the circumstances he has changed the title of it from Real Vs. Fake to Free Troy Ave. An obvious response on his legal situation, the title could possibly serve as a double entendre of sorts as this may be the last “free” project from Troy Ave in a while.
