Revisiting his Nat Love EP, Kweku Collins shares the visual for the lighthearted “Stupid Rose.”
And standout from the project, the song follows the story of Kweku’s interest in a woman falling in and out of rotation, represented by the silly idea of bringing a girl he doesn’t really care about a dozen roses. The visual follows that pursuit. And after hours of runnings around Evanston, Illinois, borrowing someone’s skateboard, he realizes the roses ain’t worth a shit and goes and hangs out with his friends instead. The lesson here? If you don’t really like a girl, sometimes skating around town with your friends is better than faking it.
