Last night (June 12th) VICELAND unveiled a 30-minute Noisey special, YG & The Therapist, in which the premise was Fo’ Hunnit attempting therapy for the first time since getting shot in June 2015. Throughout the show it becomes apparent that YG is deeply affected by the shooting, leaving him shell-shocked not unlike a soldier with PTSD, with a myriad of trust and paranoia issues, turning to alcohol in order to get through his day. At one point, during the show, while detailing the shooting to therapist Siri Sat Nam Singh, he even felt that at one point the shooters — who, to this day, he does not know their identities — could have been tied to DJ Mustard, as at the time the two were not speaking to each other.
While its hard to determine if the sessions were a success — there were only two sessions, and they were taped to be shown on television instead of being a private matter — it was a relatively fascinating watch nonetheless. Watch the first act of the show below, and watch the entire thing on VICELAND.
