In a clear-cut case of “Can’t leave rap alone, the game needs me,” it turns out that Lucky 7 was not the final studio album from Statik Selektah. In fact, he is planning to drop a new project, 8, in the near future.
He recently linked with 2 Chainz for the heatrock known as “Smoke Break,” and now the single has its own set of visuals. Directed by Joe Moore, the clip features Chainz and Statik working in the studio together as their collaborative track plays throughout. We’ve not seen this version of 2 Chainz since he teamed with Phonte on the 2008 Playaz Circle single “Paper Chaser,” and it is more than a welcome return to that sound (albeit briefly).
