UPDATE: Summer On Sunset is now available below.
Original post…
Later today (June 17th), Wale will release his suddenly-announced mixtape, Summer On Sunset. And if it’s anything like its namesake, fans can expect the project to be a breezy, jam-filled tape inspired by the rapper taking up a residency in North Hollywood, CA.
After sharing “Her Wave” and “Reminisce” earlier this week, Wale liberates a third loosie called “Back To The Sun”—which, like the previous two drops, won’t actually live on the project.
At under two minutes, the song could be perceived as the opening track on Summer On Sunset (again, it won’t be), as Wale skates over some piano-driven production from Kal Banx and DJ Money.
Check it out below, and be on the lookout for the entire project sooner than later.
As promised, Wale comes through with his new mixtape!
At 17 tracks (not including the three, previously-released “bonus” tracks), Summer On Sunset comes equipped with features from Cam’ron, Ty Dolla $ign, Joe Moses, Eric Bellinger, Victoria Monet, Phil Adé, Jazz Cartier, and Jim Ross.
