“I life and death my way through the sun
Where originates all the pain that leaves
My memory a traumatic sponge and sings to you..”

As if 2016 couldn’t get any more f*cked with the numerous celebrity deaths, we’ve just learned that Attrell Cordes, better known as Prince Be from R&B group P.M. Dawn passed away at the age of 46 at his New Jersey home yesterday.

Doc. G, also a part of the No. 1 chart topping group, confirmed to Billboard that Prince Be died from renal kidney failure, due to his ongoing battle with diabetes.

“I can confirm that Prince Be has died in his sleep from complications with Diabetes. I am respectfully requesting privacy for his wife, children, parents, siblings, & other relatives while they grieve,” Doc. G relayed to Billboard.

P.M. Dawn broke out onto the scene with their 1991 hit, “Set Adrift on Memory Bliss,” penned by Prince Be himself which lifted a sample from Spandau Ballet’s “True.” 80s babies may also remember their second single, “Looking Through Patient Eyes.”

Attrell Cordes is survived by his wife Mary and three children, Mia, Christian and Brandon. Rest in power =(
