Earlier this week, Killer Mike gave us some positive news surrounding Run The Jewels — their next album is just a couple weeks away from being finished.

Just a couple days later, though, the duo’s back in the news, but unfortunately it’s not because Run The Jewels 3‘s completion didn’t magically speed up.

It’s been reported Kevin Hart is set to produce an “action-comedy” movie revolving around a “group of failed rappers who attempt to rob an eccentric hip-hop mogul,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The tentative title for the movie, though? Run The Jewels.

Once El-P caught word of the movie’s title and convenient motifs, he took to Twitter to share his understandable grievances.

Movies often have loose or tentative titles and get changed through marketing (and legal) research, and the Run The Jewels title isn’t set in stone. And while I’m not sure Run The Jewels have a copyright on the name, there may be some sort of law of likeness giving them a bit of leverage in a potential trial.

Stay tuned as the story will develop over the next couple weeks, I’m sure.
