To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Jay-Z’s classic debut, Reasonable Doubt, Genius and Skyzoo have teamed up to deliver an update to Hov’s “Friend Or Foe” narrative.
Adding a third chapter to the two part story, the Brooklyn lyricist plays the part of the son of the hustler who Jay clipped — returning 20 years later to seek his revenge.
“Friend or foe yo, state my biz?
They always said revenge is slow so, here it is
20 years in the making
I been waiting more or less
More so to draw slow
And Picasso your chest…”
The concept is crazy. The bars are obviously on point. Just press play and let Sky paint the picture.
