Gallant is going on an international tour to support his Ology LP starting Saturday. Before he embarks on the 35-plus dates over the next four months, he drops the video for “Miyazaki” — the short, acoustic-led jam stuck right in the middle of the 16-track album.
Where the song details Gallant’s ability and desire to fix a relationship, the video showcases one that’s already finished. Over the two and a half minutes, the visual pans around an empty dinner table Gallant is sluggishly sitting at the head of. As the camera comes back around to him, the reality of a broken relationship sets in and he starts pour up the wine (and overfills it by juuuuust a smidge).
