Saying the NBA world has gone into a frenzy over the last four days would be such a massive understatement.
While the teams around the league routinely handed out inflated contracts due to the $20 million increase in cap space this offseason (Mozgov got $65 million and Luol Deng took $75 million from the Lakers), the biggest story didn’t come from someone giving Solomon Hill $52 million.
Kevin Durant left the Oklahoma City Thunder to join the Golden State Warriors.
The primary reason, I’m sure, KD joined the Warriors — who went 73-9 last year and lost to the Cavaliers in the Finals after being up three games to one — was to win a championship, and it will potentially happen in the Bay Area.
Over Durant’s nine-year career, he made it to the Finals once (losing to the Heats in 2012) and to the conference finals four times (2011, 2012, 2014, 2016). And nearly every time he’s lost, the Internet has resorted back to one tweet from a highly influential Bay Area native:
KEVIN DURANT WILL NEVER WIN THE TITLE AFTER HE SAID “LIL B” IS A WACK RAPPER,
“THE BASEDGODS CURSE”#THEBASEDGODSCURSE ON DURANT – Lil B

Lil B put the curse on because KD tried listening to the Based God, but “my mind wouldn’t let me do it….can’t believe this guy is relevant.”
Seems warranted.
But now that KD is in Lil B’s hometown, will he leave the curse on? Does the Based God curse affect KD in the Bay Area, thus cursing the whole town?
The Based God has spoken.
“The BasedGod” wants to speak,As life unravels and superstars make decisions that change lifes, welcome home KD the curse is lifted – Lil B
