In light of his recent issues, Yasiin Bey has spent the better part of 2016 releasing music (although he said that his final album will arrive sometime during the year). He recently performed at the country’s Cape Town International Jazz Festival, where he was joined by the experimental jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD.
During their set (which included six songs, one of which was a performance of A Tribe Called Quest’s “Buggin’ Out,” tributing the late Phife Dawg), the quartet also unveiled an unheard song “Arcade.” Thanks to some (rather poor) video footage, the song’s debut can be seen below.
