For as long as the DopeHouse has been around (Oct. ’07) we’ve been supporting ¡Mayday!, and to see the Miami-based band transition from hometown heroes to touring the world alongside one of the hardest working artists in the business has truly been dope to watch.
As half of the emcee presence in ¡Mayday!, Bernz has seen success with the band, but now it’s time for him to test the solo waters. And this Friday (7/8), he’ll do so with the release of his debut album, See You On The Other Side.
“I never thought I would be a solo artist, so really anything that happens is icing on the cake,” Bernz told SM. “I am completely humbled, excited, and happy to see what happens and I am coming into this with no expectations. I feel like I have waited a long time to be able to do this, and it just kind of came naturally. I just really wanted to make a quirky album to represent the quirkiness that is me and what I like. I feel like I have pretty much achieved that. Lets just have fun, lets turn up, I will see you on the other side. That is the vibe.”
After going out of his mind brain with Jarren Benton, Bernz is back with a video for “Smoke N’ Fuck” — the latest single from SYOTOS, described as a “weed empowerment song for women.”
Pre-order See You On The Other Side on iTunes before it arrives this Friday (7/8).
So, umm…. who is this chick? Might have to get the Saturday Night Sexy staff to put on their detective hats and get to work.
