Following the tragic murders of Philando Castille and Alton Sterling, many people have taken to the streets and social media to protest and demand a change in the non-stop brutality and countless murders Black men and women have suffered at the hands of the police. Now, a plethora of actors and musicians, including Rihanna Taraji P. Henson, Beyoncé, Chris Rock, Queen Latifah, Common, Alicia Keys, Talib Kweli, Janelle Monáe, Chance The Rapper and Pharrell, have teamed with Mic for a PSA to shed light on those who have been slain.

Titled “23 Ways,” each individual states a manner in which Black people have been murdered by the police, as well as a photo of its victim. From Akai Gurley to Samuel DuBose, Tamir Rice to Walter Scott, Renisha McBride to Laquan McDonald, each harrowing brief is a painful reminder that freedom truly isn’t free.
