Last week, Dolphin shared “Basic Life” — side A of a “digital 12-inch,” only to release the second side a day later. Me being aloof and missing out on the release, he were are a week later with side B, “Snakes.”

Premiered by The FADER, the Baltimore artist said the song was inspired by his daily happenings. “Snakes in the garden, whether in business or in personal relationships,” he said. “How protecting one’s heart is the most important thing.”

He later continued: “Music saved me and healed me whenever I needed it, so I know it can do the same for others. Beyond that, I view music as an ancient tool, and with that understanding I try to make art that appeals to our higher selves and not just our lowest nature. I just want to continue to share pure, honest artistic statements untouched by hidden hands.”

Stream “Snakes” below, and cop both singles on Bandcamp.
