French duo Justice has created some of the best dance/funk fusion on this side of Daft Punk‘s Homework with their last two albums, † and Audio, Video, Disco.
Today, Gaspard Michel Andre Augé and Xavier de Rosnay return for the first time in five years with a new song, “Safe And Sound,” full of aggressive bass slaps, string arrangements and energy fueled by a rocket from the funk heavens.
“Head up, foot down, speed of sound,” a group of singers chant on the chorus, almost announcing the band’s return to releasing music and warning of the intense sounds that are to come.
Justice haven’t officially announced a project yet, but if “Safe And Sound” is any indication, they’re certainly back at peak powers and have the ability to make a stellar third album.
