At the end of last week, Shy Glizzy announced the follow-up to 2014’s Young Jefe would drop July 15. And with the date less than 10 hours way, the D.C. native took to the Beats 1 air waves to debut “You Know What” off the project.
if you’ve had “Rounds” in rotation, “You Know What” is an even deeper dive into the airy, fluttering-synth sound of the previous single — though the newest song has a soothing melody to pair with the layers of ambition and representation for his hometown and childhood throughout.
Young Jefe 2 drops on iTunes tonight, but stream “You Know What” below in the meantime.
