Eclectic newcomer KAMAU delivered one of the more pleasant surprises with his formal introduction A Gorgeous Fortune. Now the artist returns with a set of visuals for one of its highlights, “PohLease.”

“PohLease is a song that raises a list of questions and explores states of being and feeling while within a racist system that employs and empowers law enforcement that targets and victimizes a specific group human beings (“Black” people) in response to fear, ignorance, prejudice, and racism,” he explains. The emotions evoked from those questions are on full display as KAMAU performed the song to a packed house at The Gramercy Theater in New York. Watch below.
