The hype surrounding Tory Lanez — who just dropped remixes of Drake’s “Controlla” and DJ Khaled’s “I Got the Keys” — has reached pretty high levels over the last couple years without an album. And while his debut project, I Told You, has been in the works since the Lost Cause mixtape in 2014, it seems he’s hinted at a release date on his new song, “August 19th.”

The Jahlil Beats-laced banger has Tory spitting confident bars (mentioning his absolutely horrid jump shot, too) before closing the song with “they not gon’ like me, dawg — I told you,” completing the belief the song title is when his debut album will drop.

The song is another installation Tory’s “Fargo Friday” series, where we hope he’ll drop a song every Friday for the next couple weeks until the album is now assumed to come out.
