At the end of 2014, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian — his wife, and also his part-time social media manager — were the faces of a campaign for Balmain, a French fashion house. Kanye and Kim then showed up at the Met Gala donned in Balmain outfits (and colored contacts that made it seem Kanye’s soul had finally been taken over) earlier this year.
(Aside: Those two sentences are the most I’ve ever wrote about anything fashion. I’ll be writing a couple more sentences after this aside, which will add to the length of “most I’ve ever wrote about anything fashion.” This aside will not be included in the length, because that’s just cheating.)
It seems Kanye’s deal with the fashion outfit isn’t over, as he’s starring in another campaign alongside Joan Smalls for Balmain.
We know plenty of Kanye’s time has been dedicated to fashion over the last decade, so at least he’s continuing to reap benefits from all his work in the area.
